Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TryAdCortex.com and AdCortex ("we", "us", or "our") collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Google Ads reporting and analytics platform. It also describes specifically how we handle data obtained through Google APIs and OAuth authorization.

1. Google API Services & Limited Use Disclosure

AdCortex's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect your Google account to AdCortex, we request the following permissions:

  • Google Ads (AdWords) access — to read your advertising account data (campaigns, keywords, search terms, geographies, conversions, and account performance metrics) for the purpose of generating reports and analysis within the app.
  • Gmail send access (not read) — to send email reports and operational notifications from or on behalf of your account. We do not read, index, or store the contents of your Gmail inbox or any existing emails.

Google user data obtained through these scopes is used solely to provide and improve the features you use within AdCortex. We do not use this data for any other purpose.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, company name, and login credentials.
  • Google Ads account data you authorize us to access, including campaign performance, keyword statistics, search term reports, geographic breakdowns, and conversion data.
  • Gmail send capability — we use your authorized Gmail access to dispatch email reports on your behalf. We do not access, read, or retain the contents of emails in your Gmail account.
  • Configuration data you provide within the app, such as access control settings, allowed email domains, and report recipient lists.
  • Support or communications data when you contact us by email or other support channels.
  • Technical and usage data, such as session state, browser information, server-side access logs, and locally stored preferences (e.g., selected customer IDs, report views).

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve TryAdCortex.com.
  • Authenticate users and enforce customer-level access controls.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, anomaly detection outputs, and campaign tagging results based on your authorized Google Ads data.
  • Send operational communications and email reports you have requested, using the Gmail send permission you authorized.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use Google user data for any of the following purposes:

  • Targeted, personalized, or interest-based advertising
  • Sale to data brokers or information resellers
  • Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes
  • Training or improving AI or machine learning models
  • Creating user profiles or databases for purposes unrelated to the service
  • Any purpose beyond delivering or improving features you actively use within AdCortex

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or Google user data to any third party. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokering, or any purpose unrelated to providing you with AdCortex features.

We may share information only as strictly necessary to operate the service, including with:

  • Google APIs — to retrieve the advertising account data you have authorized us to process on your behalf.
  • Microsoft Azure — infrastructure and cloud storage services used to host the application and store report outputs.
  • Mailgun — email delivery provider used to dispatch reports and service communications when Mailgun is used as the sending channel.
  • OpenAI — when you use AI-assisted features such as automated campaign tagging or classification, we may send relevant advertising data to OpenAI for inference (generating a response). This data is used solely to fulfill your request within the app. We do not permit OpenAI to use your data to train or improve its models beyond what is required to respond to your query, consistent with OpenAI's data usage policies for API customers.
  • Legal and regulatory parties — professional advisors, law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when disclosure is reasonably necessary for legal compliance, security, or fraud prevention.

5. Cookies, Sessions, and Local Storage

We use session cookies and similar browser storage mechanisms to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and support the normal operation of the app. Non-sensitive preferences (such as your selected customer account or active report view) may also be stored locally in your browser. These mechanisms are essential to operating the service and are not used for tracking or advertising.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, enforce our agreements, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. The length of retention depends on the type of data and the requirements of your account.

When you close your account or request deletion of your data, we will delete or anonymize your personal information and Google user data within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

7. Security

We protect information using administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Access controls that limit who can access Google user data to authorized personnel and systems only.
  • Secure credential storage — OAuth tokens are stored using appropriate server-side protections.
  • Regular monitoring of application infrastructure for unauthorized access or anomalies.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any security incidents.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may revoke AdCortex's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access will disconnect the app from your Google Ads and Gmail data.

You may also:

  • Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • Stop using the service at any time.
  • Manage email report recipients directly within the app where that functionality is available.

9. Children

TryAdCortex.com is intended for business use only and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
